Total Time
400 hrs.
Summary
Recently rebuilt from the ground up (250+ hours). 1961 Stits Playboy (one seater), tail dragger. Powered by a solid Lycoming O-290-G (new spark plugs and engine bushings) underneath an attractive custom cowl design (new cowl seals), McCauley fix pitched prop. Original instruments inspected and repainted - new EGT, slip indicator, and tachometer cable and battery installed. Good, tight fabric (Stits synthetic) and paint. Paint scheme is marine blue on white with red pinstripes. Welded steel fuselage with Sitka Spruce wings (Fuselage welds checked by Die Penetrant test). New Air-Trac tires, and new tail wheel tire & bearings. Fuselage is re-rigged with new control cables. New wood cockpit fabricated, painted and installed. The plane is almost completely assembled. We’ve put a lot of hours into fixing this plane up, and all it needs is inspection, minor assembly (we have all the parts to finish with the exception of a pitot tube) and a few finishing touches. All logs available.
Price: $ 15,000 USD
